My parents flew in on Wednesday, October 1st. My dad had some business to do in the area and my mom wanted to hang out with us. So while my dad was out working and Jason was at school, my mom and I were chillin'...you know, cooking and doing laundry, we bought a bunch of stuff to make jewelry, we went to the temple in Orlando one day, we went on a lot of walks, and just hung out. It was pretty great. Last weekend we all went to Epcot and had some pretty amazing German food, all you can eat. The florentine cookies were my favorite. Then we watched conference at Jason's parents' house in Tampa and my parents experienced kimchi for the first time. Kimchi, for those of you who may not know, is like a Korean kind of condiment that they eat with almost everything, and it basically consists of cabbage and some weird radish and some other stuff, and it's all kind of sour and hot and spicy all at the same time. It's pretty good. Anyways, this weekend we hit a big flea market that goes on every weekend in a little town called Waldo just 20 minutes away from Gainesville, and Jason and I got ready for our trip we're taking to the Smoky Mountains starting tomorrow and throughout the rest of this week. We also played a lot of cards while my folks were here. We like to play this game called golf a lot. So that's the week and a half with the parents. More to come on the Smokies. Peace out.

Hey Heidi! sounds like you had fun with your parents in town. I have been able to hang out with my mom more in the past 3 weeks than I ever have since probably before high school! She has been really great to come over and help with the baby, give me some company while being holed up in the house, etc. Moms are great, eh? Good luck with the job hunt!
