Hey!!! We went to the Smoky Mountains last week and it was GREAT! Very pretty. The leaves were all changing and the weather was perfect. We finally got a chance to use our tent that we bought with some of the gift certificates we got at our wedding. It's been too hot in Florida the last few months for camping. The campsite we were at didn't have showers so we had to go to another camp site to shower. There were separate shower units for the guys and the girls so I had to put some shampoo and soap in some leaves for Jason to take into his unit. There's this nearby city called Gatlinburg and it is the cutest, funnest little town I've ever seen! It kind of reminded me of Park City, only cooler. We didn't really get any pictures of it though, for some reason. We went hiking everyday and the longest one we went on was 8 miles round trip to a big cascading waterfall. I was always scared at night because I'm a scaredy cat and I kept thinking the sound of the falling leaves were people or animals (like black bears) walking outside our tent. Thank goodness for ear plugs! We were going to leave on Saturday but we actually decided to go home on Friday because it started raining early Friday morning and it was supposed to get much colder Friday night. It was a very long drive home because we got stuck in traffic in Atlanta. Plus Jason decided to get on the freeway going in the wrong direction after we stopped off for some gas. So we had to go through this one section of traffic twice! Awesome.
I can't view the video from my phone but any sort of adventure in the woods is my kind of fun! Sounds great! One question? Did you see Smokey the bear?
