Anniversary #1

We stayed a night in St. Augustine over the weekend for anniversary numero uno. For those of you who don't know where that is, it's just south of Jacksonville in the northeastern part of Florida. It's about an hour and a half drive from Gainesville. St. Augustine is actually the oldest city in the nation. Founded in 1565 or something like that. It's a fun place. Before I moved to Florida I came here for spring break in March of 2007 to visit Jason. We went to stay with an old roommate of his in St. Augustine where the guy was going to physical therapy school. So we have some good memories associated with that area. And now we have even more! I had to work Saturday until about 2 so we only stayed there one night and we actually stayed at the Hilton. I've never been to a Hilton but they are pretty dang nice. Saturday night we went to this restaurant called The Gypsy Cab Company and the food was overpriced and really sucked. So then we decided to go running and then at the end of the run we ended up on St. George Street (which is a really cool historic street with lots of shops and restaurants that no cars can go down, only pedestrians) where we were going to get some dessert at one of the several chocolate shops on the street. So we got our chocolates AND some ice cream (hey it's our anniversary, why not go a little crazy!?) and we passed by this pizza place called Pizzalleys that we've been to before and there was a guy giving out samples. Well that convinced us that we needed to get some pizza (they're pizza is very likely the best I've ever had, no kidding!). Plus we were still hungry from our lack of food intake at the Gypsy place. Then we headed back to the hotel and I'll just stop right there and skip to the next day ;) Sunday we got some breakfast and headed to the beach where we tried to suntan our sad, white, little bodies. Then went back to St. George Street for some more pizza (at another place this time, not as good). Before heading home I decided that I needed to try a frozen banana since I've never had one before. I was pretty satisfied with it. I'll probably get one again if the occasion arises. Anyway, so then we went home...and THAT is what we did for our first anniversary. Hope you like how I rambled on and on and ON about it!

P.S. I love you, Jason! Crazy that it's been one year already since we got hitched! I was thinking A LOT about the day we got married and our honeymoon over the weekend. VERY good stroll down memory lane for me. I wish we could get married all over again. Here's some pics of my memory lane:

What a cute couple you are, glad you had a good anniversary. They tend to get less exciting as time goes on, Benj and I are glad when we both remember and get a small gift. :)
Here's to many more happy years together!

Heid, your hair is looking cute :). I am thinking of getting a chop. That picture of everyone making out is kind of disturbing due to Myung and Jung. NO offense... love them of course, but don't want to see them in that pose.

I'm glad I found your blog...yea! I'm glad you guys had fun, and that you had a frozen banana-they are the best. Have you ever tried cheesecake on a stick? yum.

OH Heidi Heidi. Happy anniversary to you both. sounds like you had a spectacular time! Very cute couple and cute pics. I miss you around. Those choco bananas are delicious. Was it frozen? There are actually kits that you can buy at the grocery store to make them. Hope all is well. Call me sometime. We need to chat.
