Not worth it!

So this guy came into Sam's Club last week with this castle cake set thing his wife had gotten from Michael's. They wanted to know if we (Sam's Club) would do it for them. I guess it isn't obvious that the bakery at Sam's Club isn't some high end specialty bakery. Anyways, I told the guy we didn't do stuff like that (we just do sheet cakes and cupcakes and stuff). Then this other girl I work with in the bakery said to me, "you should do it for him at home!" And the guy was like, "yeah!" And I'm like, "uh, ok." I didn't think it would take very long and I told him I'd do it for 50 bucks (that includes the cost of the cake and the icing and the time I spent making the stupid thing). Not enough!! Supplies were like 20 bucks total and I spent like 6 hours making it. That was my Friday night. Awesome. It did turn out pretty cute though. Too bad that little girl whose birthday it was for was only turning 2 and wouldn't even appreciate it. So I'm posting it on the blog so that you could all appreciate it :)

It looks amazing! What a strange request... and a bummer deal on your end. You should have held the cake hostage until he paid you more. :)
