For Thanksgiving we were down in Tampa at Jason's parents' house. Jason's sister Michelle and her family were there but his little sister, Irene is in France (where she served her mission) teaching English until April. Jason's mom did most of the cooking. Jason and I were on pie duty. We made 4 pies. Well, Jason made 1 and I made 3.
We made pumpkin, apple, lemon and a very berry (a mixture of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry). They were delicious!
Here's Jason playing with little Ephriam. He's a noisy little baby. He likes to here himself talk. He's so cute. It's really easy to make him smile and laugh, too.
Jason's mom also invited over the missionaries and some other friends in their ward. It made me think of Thanksgiving on my mission. We went to 3 different members' houses to eat. It was great but we were pretty much stuffed the entire day. At one of the member's houses we got a referral, which was pretty exciting. The member family had invited over some friends and we started teaching a family they had invited over as a result.
Elias playing play-doh with mom. Saturday or Sunday we discovered a big ball of play-doh all dried up behind the piano that Elias had left there.
Jason, Michelle, Elias and Ephriam! It's always fun hanging out with these guys. We're going to miss them when they move from Florida!! But we'll probably be moving pretty soon after they do.
Chillin' on the couch, digesting turkey and watching movies and such on TV. Gotta love Thanksgiving.
On Saturday we went to the beach. It was really warm! Probably upper 70's or even low 80's. The water was freezing!! But they're were tons of people laying out in their swimsuits and playing beach volleyball and such. I was wishing I had brought my swimsuit with me! On Saturday night we went to the movie Twilight and then we stayed and watched the new 007 movie Quantum of Solace. I've never stayed in a theatre to view a second movie for FREE. I felt like such a cheater. Twilight was pretty good but the 007 movie wasn't as great as I thought it would be. I think Twilight would've been a lot better if the guy who played Edward wouldn't have been so awkward. Plus his hair was atrocious. Ewe. But it was still pretty good. Well, that about sums up our Thanksgiving weekend. It was pretty great! I hope you all had a good one! Later...
The lemon pie was the best! Perfect texture with perfect mouth watering lemony taste!
What a cook, the pies look great!
K, so when and WHERE are you moving to? Better be comin back home!
We won't be moving from Florida until about May of 2010. We're planning on moving out west somewhere but we're not really sure where.
heid I'm likin the doo these days, looks cute.
I bet your pies where delicious, wish I could have had some!!
Way to go on the pies! They look devouring! Funny that you describe Edwards hair as atrocious. It was a bit large but I thought it was vampire ish... Can't believe you sneakin in to a 2nd movie...I guess is you've got the time and energy why not. Miss ya.
