Lately...

I haven't posted anything in a super duper long time! So here are a few things we've been doing lately. Actually just some things we did in October. Jason already posted some pictures of our trip to Utah but I decided to add a few more.

Here's my boys Joseph and Peter. It's nice having some admirers when I go home for a visit. They're so much fun.
Carley is crazy. Maybe this will teach her to think twice about stealing my camera and photographing her craziness.

This is my mom arm wrestling Jamie. Jamie won.
Here's a really funny video of my mom arm wrestling my other niece, Anna.

My ma and pa. They'll be joining us in Florida for Thanksgiving. I'm excited.
Just a little stroll down by the river. We went up to Boise for part of our trip to visit my sister, Caroline who is the mother of the crazy Carley.
Feeding the ducks and the geese at Farmington pond. I like how I caught the bread flying through the air in this picture.
This is my nephew Jack. He likes to do magic tricks with decks of cards.
We went to a corn maze in Layton. When I got back from my trip some people at work were asking about what we did on our trip and when I got to the part where we went to a corn maze they were like, "huh?" At first it was kind of weird to me that they'd never heard of a corn maze but there's really not a lot of corn growing around here.

We went to this state park near Jacksonville a couple of weeks ago and we saw a turtle walking in the road. We actually almost ran over it.
Our ward did a trunk or treat the day before Halloween.
For my birthday we stayed in a hotel in Orlando and then we went to Disney the next day because if you go on your birthday you get in free. AND Jason had a free pass that his brother-in-law gave him. So that was nice.

A little birthday brunch.
The hotel.
Disney!
I've always been a fan of splash mountain.

T-10 seconds

On our way home from dinner last night we were listening to the news on the radio and heard this: "Shuttle Discovery is scheduled to launch tonight at 11:59 PM from the Kennedy Space Center." The time was about 8:30. 3 hours to get across the state? No problem. We had both never seen a shuttle launch before so we decided to do it. We raced back home, put our leftovers away and embarked on our mission. Who knew that space shuttle launches were a statewide event in Florida. The traffic was pretty bad, but we got through it and finally parked. We walked over to the shore and got situated for the launch. It was pretty amazing. The video doesn't really do it justice, as stated by my, "this is a crappy video" statement, but it is still pretty cool looking. And don't forget to notice how clear it is.

Frolf

Well, Heidi has deserted me for a week and now I'm left to my own devices. Turns out that one of my patients is a lover of frisbee golf. Yes that's right, frisbee golf. He actually loves it so much that he gave me a whole set of "disc golf" "clubs" and wants me to go out with him on the course. First of all, who plays frisbee golf? When I see him I always call it "frolf" and I can tell he gets a little angry when I say it. It's like he's got short man complex, but with golf. I also think it's really funny because of this clip from the office.

I don't know, maybe frolfing is really fun. Maybe it's the best thing ever. If I get desperate enough this week (which I probably will) I think I may give it a spin (yea, I just did that).

New Callings

Jason and I got our callings switched up at church. Jason got called as the elder's quorum president and I got called as 2nd counselor in the young women's. When I told my mom about Jason's calling she said she didn't know whether to congratulate him or to offer her condolences. He'll be pretty busy with this calling plus the stresses that come from being in his final year of dental school, but I'll think he'll manage just fine. I'm excited about my new calling! I was sad that I won't be with the sunbeams anymore because they are SO CUTE! But I'm excited to be working with the young women. I think it'll be a lot of fun.

Jason's cheating on me!

I got home from work on Friday to find Jason lying on the couch with THIS!

He picked her up on Friday afternoon and they've been inseparable ever since. I'm not too worried about it though, I'm a much better kisser.
